Updates = Yay? Not this one.

10th December 2007, Jagex released a few updates that prove to cause uproar and chaos.

The wildy is no longer a place for pking, in order to kill other players for their loot, you will have to try out the Bounty Hunter minigame, which is based on 1 v 1 combat. Often we will see players shouting slogans like " no pk, no rs", or "we pay, we say", indeed, the wilderness has been turning yet another monster infested area, no different from varrock, lumbridge or catherby. Although i doubt that Runescape will not survive without pking, i am very upset that they made such an update. This would greatly affect my clan, and many other pking-based clans. Luckily, they have also added another minigame Clan Wars for clans to fight with each other, i found this game quite interesting and would not mind shifting pking into fighting clan wars.

The riots that many players are carrying out is starting to annoy me though, they are flooding crowded places such as the duel tourney room and grand exchange with repeated messages, lagging the area when i step into it. 2 reasons why i do not see the need why they have to riot. firstly, i seriously do not think that Jagex would remove the update they spent time and money on just because a minority of the players are upset, therefore the riots are pointless, i'd rather they spend their time to write a complaint letter to Jagex. That would be a better way to express their anger. secondly, Runescape is not a pking-based game, its more than just trying to range your opponents to death, get this straight, runescape is not all about pking, if it was, Runescape would just be a medieval form of counter strike.

I symphatize with those hardcore pkers and pures and i too, feel sad that the wildy is gone, but i just cant stand the riots.

And then there is the unbalanced trading crap, the one im most unhappy with. Quoted from Runescape.com,
"For a trade to be 'balanced', the total value of the items being given must be within 3,000gp of the items being received. For example you WOULD be allowed to trade an item worth 15,000gp for an item worth 17,000gp (because the DIFFERENCE is less than 3,000gp). You will be limited to a 3,000gp gain or loss every 15 minutes."
Yes, i do agree that this would do a big part in stopping real world trading, but this will too make our lives much more difficult, friends cant lend each other items that are expensive anymore, the money u can make from merchanting is now 3k max and the list of disadvantages to us players goes on...

I think Jagex is trying way too hard to stop real world trading, they are making the lives of players difficult!
